Summary

You didn’t know you could get miracle rain for only $29.95 a jar. That’s one of several revelations awaiting audiences when Rain, River, Ice, Steam opens Monday on the main stage at Victory Gardens Theater. A new work by Chicago playwright S.L. Daniels, this “aqua-inspired” comedy depicts an insanely rich woman whose quest for faith compels her to acquire a “miracle rain” that doused a fire that threatened a small town. The skeptical heiress encounters a host of eccentric residents who testify to the miracle. We’re left to ask, “In an age of cynicism, can one even dare to hope?” (Source credited: https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-1998-11-13-9811130386-story.html)
