Richard Christiansen always had the best seat in the house… And he used it to advocate for the talent and success of the Chicago theater community. Due to his longtime championing, Chicago Theater is recognized and lauded throughout the world. In 2010, Victory Gardens Theater named its new Richard Christiansen Theater as a small token of our deep appreciation. Thousands of people have already enjoyed performances and discussions in this intimate space, and it will be a home for compelling and entertaining art for years to come.

You too can be a part of this important addition to Chicago's renowned theater community.

Name a seat in the Richard Christiansen Theater and an engraved plaque with your name, or the name of a person or organization you wish to honor, will be affixed to one of the theater seats. All proceeds will support the artistic programming at Victory Gardens Theater and seat-naming gifts are deductible for tax purposes as provided for by law.
