Off-night Town Hall and Celebration

Marcus Gardley’s The House that will not Stand is one of very few plays featuring an ensemble of black women since Ntozake Shange’s award-winning for colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf and most recently Danai Gurira’s Eclipsed. Why are black women continuously underrepresented in the American theater? What are steps towards equity and representation? In collaboration with the Free Women of Color Fest, this off-night town hall and performance celebration is a Call to Action that puts #BlackGirlMagic at the forefront of the American theater landscape.

Public Programs are free and open to the public and do not require an RSVP. Come to one or come to all. We’d love to have you!
