Before the 1960’s physicians hardly knew anything on treatments for patients with hemophilia. Hemophilia is a genetic disorder which is caused by a missing or defective clotting protein. However, there are many myths or unclear facts that surround hemophilia that still exist today, especially as it relates to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s.
