Co-presented by Chicago Public Radio Presents, this evening of musical theater will highlight the work of emerging writers and feature performances by theater companies presenting musical work this season. Participants will include Victory Gardens Theater, Theatre Building Chicago Musical Theater Workshop, Bohemian Ensemble Theatre, and more.

Tis the season for the annual onslaught of holiday shows. But the one sure to catch the strongest holiday buzz. The true meaning of Christmas spirit comes out when it’s drunk. With the help of Bukowski, Kerouac, Capote, and others uncork the myths and traditions of the holidays. Presented in the Biograph Theater Lobby Bar, this hilarious show sold out last year. What Does The Sun Sound Like?

The totally true tales of a hearing daughter growing up in a deaf family & culture.Funny, touching and poignant, Chicago Dramatist Arlene Malinowski’s stories are told through sign language and voice using both Deaf and hearing storytelling techniques which challenges the audience to share a world beyond their experience. Presented as part of Victory Gardens Theater’s Access Project.

Literally Sexy 2: Because it feels good

The very naughty variety show is back. See what happens when some of Chicago’s most exciting ensembles and performers turn their mind to sex. Lascivious stories, carnal comedy, and all the sex advice you can handle with fill the evening. Last time there wasn’t a seat to be had…not a dry one anyway. Use one punch of your card to attend a Victory Gardens mainstage show on Fresh Squeezed Night.
