Playing Shakespeare

Get on your feet with the Bard and learn how he directs within the text. By exploring and "playing" with his language, rhythm and colorful characters, we discover the fun and accessibility to this brilliant playwright's work. The goal is to remove any fears that actors harbor and give them the courage and tools to approach other texts as well. Classes include text exercises, the rehearsal of scenes and monologues from a wide variety of his plays and even a look at the First Folio. Resume required for admission.
