Dean Corrin

Dean Corrin’s Victory Gardens premieres include Butler County, Gentrification, Expectations and Battle of the Bands. His plays have also been produced at Northlight Theatre, the Actors Theatre of St. Paul, Tacoma Actors Guild, Stage #1 (Dallas), the Addison Theatre Centre (Dallas), New York Stageworks, Polaris Repertory Company (NYC), Wichita Center for the Arts and the Cape Cod Festival of New American Plays. Threadheads, a musical for young audiences about Mother Jones and the child labor movement, was commissioned by Chicago Playworks and premiered at the Merle Reskin Theatre. Corrin is currently the Associate Dean of the Theatre School at DePaul University, and is a board member of the Sansculottes Theater Company.

Recently, he was awarded a Faculty Fellowship by the DePaul University Humanities Center to support work on a new play.  His play, Battle of the Bands, is included in Victory Gardens Theater Presents: Seven New Plays from the Playwrights Ensemble.  He is the president of the board of directors of the Sansculottes Theater Company.
