Summary:
It's the height of the 1920’s and
New York
socialite Mame Dennis unexpectedly becomes the guardian of her orphaned
ten-year-old nephew, Patrick. Some of Mame’s wild, adventurous spirit is inside
everyone who lives for the moment and believes that “life is a banquet!” With
the balloon burst of the Great Depression, her life is turned up-side-down,
many of her priorities change, but she still lives life to the fullest. This
musical comedy classic is packed with show-stopping numbers like Mame, It’s Today, Open a New Window,
We Need a Little Christmas, Bosom Buddies and That’s How Young I Feel.
The cast of Mame –
comprised of VGT subscribers and patrons – has been rehearsing since they bid
their way to play the memorable roles in this classic musical at VGT’s Casting
Auction fundraiser in November. Now they take the stage in this one-of-a-kind
benefit production! Proceeds from the Casting Auction and the performances of Mame directly benefit VictoryGardens’
artistic and educational programs. Don’t miss this uniquely entertaining
opportunity to support VGT!
