RESOLVE TO BE PART OF VICTORY GARDENS’ NEW PLAY PROCESS IN 2009 - Open Rehearsal for Living Green is Thursday, January 15th at 6pm

Ever wanted to go behind the scenes of a new Chicago play? Not enough people know Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago’s #1 presenter of world premiere theater, has long invited its subscribers and the public to be part of its new play process, by hosting an Open Rehearsal a week before the first preview of each of its mainstage productions.

With the New Year, now’s the perfect time to resolve not to miss the next opportunity! Open Rehearsal for Victory Gardens’ first world premiere play of 2009, Living Green, is Thursday, January 15 at 6 pm at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater, 2433 N. Lincoln Avenue.

By being a member of the first audience for an on-set, work-in-progress presentation from Living Green, you’ll be playing an important part in the development of this important new family drama by Evanston playwright, teacher and Victory Gardens Playwrights Ensemble member Gloria Bond Clunie. The ½-hour slice of rehearsal is then followed by a talkback about the characters, plots and themes of the play with the playwright, director and cast. Passionate discussion with the cast and crew typically spills over into the post-rehearsal reception in the Biograph lobby, courtesy of Zig Zag Café.

Victory Gardens’ Open Rehearsals are free, however reservations are recommended.

Email events@victorygardens.org or call Will Rogers, 773.549.5788 ext 2167 to RSVP.
