Available Space:
Victory Gardens Theater maintains three theaters that are available for rent.

  • Two 60 seat black box studios
  • One 192 seat ¾ thrust mainstage

What is Provided:

  • Full-Time, Fully Staffed, Computerized Box Office
  • House Management
  • Volunteer Ushers
  • Dressing Room/Back Stage Area
  • Lighting Booth
  • Minimal sound and lighting package

Building Hours:

  • Monday-Saturday 10 AM to 10:30 PM
  • Sunday 12 PM to 5:30 PM

Rental Rates: Studios

  • $950 for 4 performances per week between Thursday and Sunday
  • $1187.50 for 5 performances per week between Thursday and Sunday
  • Security Deposit: $1000 due at contract signing
  • Curtain Times:
    • Upstairs Studio Show Times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM.
    • Downstairs Studio Show Times are Thursday, Friday at 8:30 PM , Saturday 8 PM and Sunday at 3:30 PM

Rental Rates: Mainstage

  • $3,500 for 7 performances per week between Tuesday and Sunday
  • Security Deposit: $3,500 due at contract signing
  • Curtain Times: Tuesday through Saturday 7:30 PM, Sundays 2:30 PM

Training Center Class Schedule:
In addition to the four theaters in our building, Victory Gardens also has a Training Center. Rental spaces are not available during the following hours because of classes.

  • Monday 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Tuesday 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM
  • Saturday 10:00 AM to 4 :00 PM

Insurance & Other
Insurance. Producer shall obtain, pay for, and carry, throughout the term of this agreement, the following types of insurance coverage, in the amounts specified and in the form hereinafter provided for:

  1. Insurance covering the improvements made by Producer and Producer's own fixtures, personal property and equipment at any time situated within the Upstairs Studio Theater against loss or damage by fire, theft, explosion, malicious mischief, vandalism, water damage and all other insurable casualties, such policy to include a waiver of subrogation; and

  2. Comprehensive General Liability insurance against claims for bodily injury and death occurring in or about the Upstairs Studio Theater to afford protection to the limits of not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) per occurrence for bodily injuries or death arising out of each accident or occurrence.

All insurance policies shall name Victory Gardens Theater as an additional insured. All insurance policies shall not be canceled by insurer without at least thirty (30) days prior written notice to Victory Gardens Theater. Upon the failure of Producer to obtain, carry and pay for such insurance, Victory Gardens Theater shall have the right but not the obligation to take out and pay for the same for the term of this agreement, and to charge Producer for all reasonable expenses incurred thereby, and to deduct them from the amounts to be received by the Producer in the weekly transfer of Box Office Proceeds.

Employer. It is agreed that Victory Gardens is not, and will not be, the employer of any cast member, director, scenic, graphics, sound, lighting or costume designer, stage manager, technical director, stage crew, publicist or other personnel brought into the theater by The Producer to assist in the presentation and performance of The Play, and that Victory Gardens shall have no liability to any such person under any Federal or state, labor or employment law or regulation, including without limitation the Illinois Workers Compensation Act, Illinois Unemployment Compensation Act, Illinois Human Rights Act, or Title VII of the Civil Rights Act. Producer shall indemnify and hold Victory Gardens harmless from any claims, demands or judgments brought against Victory Gardens, and arising from warranties and representations herein, from any claim seeking to impose liability upon Victory Gardens or the Theater as an employer of Producer's personnel, and from any mechanic's, or other liens, arising from any services performed for Producer at Victory Gardens.
